Are all the art materials provided? I have a stock all the drawing materials that you will need – but you are welcome to bring your own favourite materials. Ideally you will have your own sketchbook/scrapbook ,or you can buy a A4 A3 one from me. Will I be sharing? The rooms are single, but a double can be arranged. The rooms are Cambridge University student rooms, they all have good storage space, desk, table and a sink. Bathrooms are shared. What can I do in the evening? Cambridge is a compact city and everything is within walking distance from the college. You can simply walk along the River Cam or attend open air concerts and plays. the theatre, cinema, lectures and galleries. The city is buzzing with overseas visitors in the summer months. Are all my meals included? Breakfast and evening meals are provided in the buffet dinning area. There are plenty of places to have lunch, from sandwich bars to all kinds of restaurants. When are the sketchbook sessions? Monday to Friday 10 – 12 noon and 2 – 5pm I have not drawn much/ I have only drawn from photographs. Is this ok? This is the perfect opportunity for you to start. You can choose to observe small details or whole scene. The main aim is to build your confidence and find what subjects interest you , how to record them in a way that suits you. We know what it is like to attend an evening class and feel frustrated by the lack of time. This is your chance to spend some quality time, in a fantastic setting, developing your own work. |
